Here at ELI (Edenvale Early Learning Institution) we concentrate on early learning to ensure that your "little bundle of joy" has a solid foundation and a head-start going forward into "Big School". We have smaller classes between four and eight children per class to ensure that your child gets the attention that they need. ELI (Edenvale Early Learning Institution) is an English Home Language Preschool.
What Will They Learn?
Early learning starts with basic life skills.
The Children are taken on regular toilet breaks, where they learn good hygiene habbits and get potty training.
We get Children into imperative nap routines between 1pm - 2pm to ensure that they are wide awake and alert.
We also include arts and crafts to improve hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
They also do some baking so that they can express their creativity and have some fun.
Play Time!
The children have regular play times so that their attention is not spread too thin, as well as to ensure that they get a healthy dose of exercise.
Prepare for "Big School"
- Here at EELC we teach the Primary and Secondary colours. -
- They will also learn how to identify all the numbers up to one hundred -
- They will learn the sounds of the letters in the alphabet and how to identify them visually, at the optimal learning pace to help them with reading in future -
- As well as numeracy, so they learn the functions of plus and minus from 3 years and upwards. -
- We have story time where they are asked questions at the end to improve their language/comprehension and memory. -
- The children play regular and educational games and puzzles to improve concentration, memory and logic. -
